AI Disclaimer

Last updated: 20 July 2026

Securely's AI generates probabilistic risk guidance to help you spot scams. It is not a guarantee, and it is not professional advice.

UK GDPR alignedEncrypted in transit & at restUK-builtPlain-English policies

1. Scope

This disclaimer applies to all Securely features that use artificial intelligence, machine learning, large language models, OCR, voice analysis, or automated risk scoring. This includes the Message Scanner, Voice Scam Detection, Link Checker, Threat Dashboard, Security Awareness Score, Real-Time Alerts, all Scam Checkers (Marketplace, Ticket, Seller Profile Risk, Identity Verification, Rental, Job, Romance, and any future checker), screenshot/document OCR, generated reports, family alerts, emergency action checklists, and any future AI-powered feature built on the same platform.

2. Nature of AI outputs

  • Securely uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to generate risk assessments and recommendations.
  • AI-generated results are probabilistic and may contain inaccuracies, false positives, or false negatives.
  • Risk scores, classifications, severity levels, and recommended actions are guidance only.
  • Securely does not provide legal, financial, investment, law-enforcement, cybersecurity, medical, or other professional advice.
  • Users remain solely responsible for decisions made based on Securely's outputs.

3. Scam checkers

Each scam checker — including but not limited to Marketplace, Ticket, Seller Profile Risk, Identity Verification, Rental, Job, and Romance — produces educational and informational risk indicators based on submitted content.

  • Results are educational and informational.
  • Results are not guarantees of safety or fraud.
  • Securely cannot guarantee the prevention or detection of fraud.
  • Users must independently verify listings, identities, profiles, transactions, payments, and counterparties before acting.

4. Identity Verification Checker

Securely does not determine whether an identity document is genuine or authentic. Securely only evaluates scam-related risk factors and behavioural indicators surrounding how a document is being used. Securely is not an identity verification provider, KYC service, or document authentication service. To confirm document authenticity, contact the issuing authority or use a regulated identity verification provider.

5. OCR & document analysis

Screenshot uploads, document uploads, and OCR text extraction are processed by automated systems and may misread characters, miss content, or misinterpret context. Securely's analysis of extracted text is subject to the same probabilistic limitations as all other AI outputs.

6. Voice scam detection

Voice analysis assesses linguistic, behavioural, and pattern-based indicators of social engineering. It is not a voice biometrics service and does not identify individuals. It cannot confirm whether a caller is who they claim to be — always call your bank or organisation back on a number you trust.

7. Alerts and notifications

  • Alerts are generated automatically and should not be treated as definitive evidence of fraud.
  • Users should independently verify any warning or recommendation before taking action.
  • Alert delivery (in-app, email, SMS, push) is best-effort and may be delayed or fail for reasons outside Securely's control.

8. Education, articles and Latest Scam Alerts

The Scam Prevention Academy, knowledge-hub articles and Latest Scam Alerts are provided for informational and educational purposes only. They reflect information available to Securely at the time of publication.

  • Scam techniques evolve rapidly; alerts, articles and lessons may occasionally become outdated before we can update them.
  • Educational content does not cover every scam, region or scenario.
  • AI assistance built into lessons and articles may occasionally produce inaccurate or incomplete information.

Always verify important information independently — for example by calling your bank on a number from the back of your card, or checking an organisation's official website — before making financial or legal decisions.

9. No guarantee of detection

No technology, AI system, or security tool can guarantee the prevention, detection, or elimination of all scams, fraud, cyber threats, or criminal activity. Securely cannot guarantee that every scam will be identified. Scammers continually adapt. Securely should be used as a safety tool alongside your own good judgement, and — in urgent situations — direct contact with your bank, official provider, or the relevant authority.

10. User responsibility

By using Securely you acknowledge that all decisions made based on information provided by the platform — including whether to send money, share information, click links, meet a counterparty, or take any other action — are your sole responsibility. You should independently verify information before making financial or legal decisions. See our Terms of Service for the full limitation of liability.
