Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 20 July 2026

How Securely aims to meet WCAG 2.1 AA — including adjustable font size, high contrast, reduced motion, and how to request accessible support.

UK GDPR alignedEncrypted in transit & at restUK-builtPlain-English policies

1. Our commitment

Securely is committed to making our scam-protection service usable by as many people as possible, including older adults, people with disabilities, and users with situational needs (bright sunlight, small screens, one-handed use). We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA across both the Securely website and Android app.

2. Built-in accessibility features

  • Adjustable font size: scale text up from Preferences across the whole app.
  • High-contrast mode: a dedicated high-contrast theme designed for low-vision users.
  • Reduced motion: disables non-essential animations for users with vestibular sensitivity, and honours your operating system's "reduce motion" setting.
  • Keyboard navigation: interactive elements are reachable and operable with a keyboard; focus indicators are visible.
  • Screen readers: we use semantic HTML, ARIA labels on custom controls, and descriptive alt text for meaningful images.
  • Colour and contrast: we design for AA contrast on primary text and interactive controls in both light and dark themes.
  • Plain-language design: results, alerts and lessons aim to use clear, jargon-light language and to explain risk in terms non-experts can act on.

3. Known limitations

We work continuously to improve accessibility. At the time of writing we are aware that:

  • Some AI-generated PDF reports may not yet be fully tagged for assistive technology.
  • A small number of complex charts on the Threat Dashboard rely on visual patterns; equivalent text summaries are provided alongside.
  • Third-party components (e.g. payment forms) may not fully match our accessibility standards.

If you encounter a barrier, please tell us — see Contact below — and we will prioritise a fix.

4. Standards we aim to meet

We aim to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. For UK users, we also consider the Equality Act 2010 and — where applicable to public sector service integrations — the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

5. Getting assistance
